Open doors at the Palau de la Música

The Palau de la Música is opening its doors to the public to celebrate International Music Day. From 10am to 3pm on Sunday you can explore the lavish modernista building that has hosted performances of all kinds of music, from chamber music to rock and pop concerts. It's also a special opportunity to hear the Orfeó Català choirs live, as they'll be performing on the stage in the Sala de Concerts both as a complete ensemble and in small groups every half hour. At 1.30pm in the Sala de Concerts there will also be a performance by a choir of 80 people who will have just completed an hour-long workshop and will make their debut on the Palau de la Música stage. The Palau's bar and restaurant will offer special meals and prices, and if you're interested in buying tickets for future performances, the Palau offers a ten-percent discount on four of its upcoming shows.
