Coinciding with International Museum Day on May 18, more than 80 museums, galleries and cultural centres in Barcelona and surrounds open their doors in the evening on May 19 until the wee hours of the next morning, giving you free access to view more than 100 temporary and permanent exhibtions. Now's your chance to enjoy these spaces and their collections in a different way with a programme of activities such as dramatized tours, guided tours of exhibitions, workshops and family activities, concerts, poetry recitals, dance performances, circus performances, magic shows, and video and multimedia screenings. You'll also find food trucks and tastings around the participating spaces. (See the local La Nit dels Museus website for more information – in Catalan and Spanish.)
