Time Out says

The grallers (pipers who play the traditional reed instrument that accompanies the sardana) parade through the streets of the Barrio Gòtic announcing that the day of the patron saint has arrived and inviting everyone to join the party to pay her the tribute she deserves. It's worth seeing them in action, so if you if you're not based near the centre, set your alarm and get down there to join them on their journey and be a part of the celebrations as soon as they get underway.
