Poble Espanyol invites you on a historic journey to the Middle Ages with the second annual Medieval Festival, complete with heraldic shields, hoods and banners. Adults and kids can enjoy three days of activities related to the medieval world: falconry shows, exhibitions of armour of the time, mercenary combat, artisan markets, food and drink, and theatrical representations of people of the time as well as music throughout the streets, which will also feature jugglers, parades, puppet shows, stories and more. New this year are fakir shows and a somewhat grim exhibition of torture devices. You'll also encounter characters of the era such as ogres, horsemen, minstrels, archers, elves, witches, trolls, fortune tellers... and Death. Kids can shoot arrows, and ride a Ferris wheel and giant swings, among other attractions, and there's also a school for little horse riders and more activities.
