This second edition of the IF Barcelona festival brings a way to promote theatre, creation and production of puppet shows, visuals and objects. This year it's structured around a series of residencies you can see at the Arts Santa Mònica gallery from November 17 to 27 in the form of showcases of the creative process in the Espai Balcó. Among them is the 'Library of Ourselves' from BeAnotherLab, a collective project with the support of communities with refugees; 'Object ficció' from storyteller Enric Farrés, a project inspired by the museology supports designed by Lina Bo Bardi in 1968, pieces that originally served to support photographs and pictorial images; 'Bwana Devil' by David Espinosa, three shows that look at cinematography, dance and opera, charged with allegorial figures from cinema, specifically one of the first 3D films, which lends its title to that of the show; 'We Wood', from Italian dancer and choreographer Federica Porello, who, along with actor and dancer Xavi Moreno and dancer and circus performer Marine Broise, develop the idea of finding talking points among bodies and objects in a single space via movement; and 'Cases per habitar i escoltar' from stage designer Xesca Salvà, who puts sensory experiences and emotions on stage from a starting point of a poetic universe built on images, music and readings.
The festival kicks off at 8pm on November 17, and on the 18th and 19th there will be a public showcase by the artists, from 11am to 7pm (from 11am to 2pm on Sunday the 20th). From November 22 to 27 you can visit the exhibition of installations during the centre's opening hours, in the Espai Balcó.
