Welcome to the seventh edition of the Matsuri festival, June 8 and 9 at the Moll de la Fusta port from noon to 9pm, where you can enjoy and learn about Japanese culture without leaving Barcelona. You'll find live music and traditional Japanese dancing as well as cuisine, fashion and traditional toys. It's a party for attendees of all ages, featuring renowned Japanese artists such as Natsuko Sugano, drummer for the group Sado ga Shimai; Chieko Kojima performing popular Japanese dances; and Naito Tetsuro and Tomoko Takeda from the group Dongara Tomorou playing the Taiko Japanese drums. Ako Tomine performs traditional Japanese folk songs accompanied by the accordion; Rai Tateishi plays Shinobue and Nôkan flutes; and Shogo Yoshii gives expert performances of the Taiko drum, Fue flute and Kokyo violin.
