The Moll de la Fusta will be the stage for 'The World in BCN', a festival of music, dance and multiculturalism this weekend from 11am to 10pm. With an eclectic programme with spaces dedicated to gastronomy, music, art, dance and games of the world, the festival will be represented by most countries of the Mediterranean basin (Turkey, Italy, Morocco, Tunisia, France, Egypt ...), which is the guest region for this fifth edition which also includes Pakistan, India, Slovakia, Peru, Mexico, Norway and Japan. Highlights of musical performances on hand are Catalan group Maia, Palestinians Motaz Essam, Aupa Quartet, Ketubana, and Gnawa Beat Bcn from Ghana.

The festival also makes room for some 20 cultural associations to showcase their artistic abilities on stage, among which are the exuberance and energy of Sentimiento Cimarrón (Colombia), Land of Coconuts, Aurora Montero, Lisa Pelegrini, and Dancing Ganesh with their Bollywood show. There will also be a space dedicated to art, showcasing artists from different disciplines, and workshops such as a live graffiti painting show and a colourful demonstration of body painting.
