Between December 18, 2015 and January 3, 2016, the latest edition of Drap-Art is back in Barcelona. Also known as the International Festival of Artistic Recycling of Catalonia, Drap-Art is celebrating its 20th anniversary as an association this year, and will be exhibiting more than 100 pieces of recycled art in the CCCB. There will also be performances in the public space, urban art, art workshops, shows, conferences, film about the environment, and audiovisuals. And just like every year, the main hall at the CCCB hosts their classic weekend Christmas fair (Dec 18-20) and Kings' fair (Jan 2 & 3), with creative recycled products.
The exhibition features artists such as Gregor Sailer, David Martín (N2 Galería) and Tono Carbajo – with works from the 'Expulsados' ('Expelled') series, dedicated to reflecting on gentrification, along with the image of this year's festival. As for the music, Drap-Art'15 is recycling the 'Banda Sonora Maldita' by Burruezo & Claustrofóbico Camerata, which was initially created for an Albert Serra film.
