DNIT: Friday with... Guim Tió

Guim Tió is one of Catalonia's top fine artists who's also well-known outside the borders. He mainly works with images found in fashion magazines to make a criticism of the concept of beauty and stereotypes in the world of advertising and media. Mostly using wax moulding, he manages to create a style and symbology all his own, populated by unsettling faces and emotionless expressions. His ironic and provocative work has every reason to keep garnering recognition, both locally and abroad.
