Dir.: Antonella Sudassi Furniss. Costa Rica- España, 2019. 94'. Original language, English subtitles.
Isabel is a good mother, a good wife, a good daughter-in-law. When her in-laws pressure her to have another child, a boy, a series of revelations leads her to confront herself, her environment and her family. In a town in Costa Rica, 30-year-old Isabel takes care of the house, her daughters and her husband all day. That's what she was taught, and that's what she teaches her daughters. In her spare time she sews to help with the household finances. She has a secret place, the only untidy place in the house, where she doesn't have to serve anyone but her imagination. The custom, the heat, her long hair, the insects that invade even the most intimate spaces and the pressure of her family begin to twist her imagination. She has always done what others expect of her, and now she must decide whether or not to face up to her family.
