Christmas concert: Jingle Lied

This Christmas concert at the Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site comes to you from the students of the Victoria de los Ángeles Master of Lied, who present a repertoire with works by Schubert, Schumann, Wolf, Dvorak, Ravel and Falla. The Master of Lied at the ESMUC music school is the only one of its kind in Spain and one of the few in Europe that works with Lied as true chamber music. Lied (which means 'song' in German) is lyrical song based on a poem and usually performed with one voice and piano accompaniment. Though it has its origins in the Classical period, it first emerged during Romanticism and reached a high point during the 20th century.
