This seminar investigates body and movement as critical social topics of our time. Starting with central anthropological and sociological concepts, the four-session seminar explores the role of body and movement in society, past and present, in relation to dance and music, performance and design, ending with an outlook on our political or post-human future. Following the material and case studies presented in each talk, there will also be time for joint discussions. The sessions can be attended individually, or as an ongoing course in which the bigger picture of the role of the body in the future of society and scientific thinking becomes visible.
