Poble Espanyol hosts a new edition of this Mexican fiesta in Barcelona on September 15 and 16. The main event is the 14th edition of the Feria del Grito (the 8th as part of the Barcelona Vive México Festival), which is organized by the local Mexican community and commemorates the 208th anniversary of Mexican Independence (no, it's not on May 5). The celebration also includes a dozen Mexican culinary, tasting and cocktail spaces; stalls selling Mexican crafts, jewellery and clothing; and traditional Mexican sweets and desserts. Big draws also include a 'lucha libre' show, live music from +Dmaná, and the Mariachi Internacional. And there's still room during the two-day party for dance, music, and things to do for kids.
