BAM 2017: Cultura Viva

As part of the BAM music programme, the Cultura Viva space becomes a place for meeting up and experimenting with live music, other cultural economies, and new forms of understanding the relationship between music and communities. On Friday 22 (5pm-11.30pm) and Saturday 23 (11am-11.30pm), Fabra i Coats hosts a festival designed and managed by a collective made up of various agents with links to social, cooperative and community economies. The extensive programme features talks and chats; concerts from bands including Hans Laguna & Shreevats Venkateshwaran Band, Esperit!, Las Víctimas Civiles, Lu Rois, Macedonia Balcánica, Meconio, and Piña Pedra Columna, among others; a paella meal with music with the Compartir Dóna Gustet collective; Balkan music workshops; and a master class on brass bands.
