A tribute to Martha Graham

Barcelona composer Ramon Humet kicks off a new season of the Sampler Series and Escenes (Scenes) with a ‎cycle of 80-minute songs for soprano, piano, shakuhachi flute, four ‎percussionists and ‎dance based on the poem ‎‏'‏‎Homenaje a Martha Graham' ‏('Tribute to Martha Graham') by Mario Lucarda‏. This premiere features choreography by Virginie Mécène, danced by PeiJu Chien-Pott, a ‎soloist with the Martha Graham Dance Company. The score is performed by soprano Sarah Maria Sun, pianist Alberto Rosado, shakuhachi maestro Kakizakai Kaoru ‎and the percussion quartet Neopercusión.
