Time Out says

The 36th Barcelona International Comic Fair is on from April 12 to 15 in the Plaça del Univers at the Fira Barcelona Montjuïc, this time taking over some 50,000 square metres of space. Now a huge draw on a national and international level, the Fair this year pays tribute to comics from the last 25 years of the 20th century, especially to Spanish authors from the time.

Highlights include exhibitions dedicated to the character Super López created by Jan, who's also behind this year's poster for the Fair; to magazines from the boom period; and to Jack Kirby. The programme of exhibitions also includes those dedicated to prizewinners from last year, Josep Maria Martín Saurí (Grand Prize), Javier Rey (Best New Author), the work 'Jamás tendré 20 años' by Jaime Martín (Best Work), and fanzine 'Paranoidland', which won in the category of Fanzines. This year there's a new space dedicated to the little ones, Comic Kids, where they can learn how to make a comic, bringing comics more into focus for a new generation of readers.

You'll also find an extensive programme of fun and cultural activities such as conferences, presentations, signings by national and international authors, and workshops.
