32nd BCN International Comic Fair

Palaces 1 and 2 at the Fira de Barcelona host the 32nd edition of this massive comic fair, May 15-18. The main theme this year is the war genre, with a major exhibition called 'Còmics en Guerra' ('War Comics'), which will feature a retrospective of military and war-related comic strips, divided chronologically by different periods of history, and sections devoted to genocide and exile. But that's not all – the fair also highlights comics from Argentina, Popeye's 85th birthday, and Batman's 75th, and you can meet and greet international stars in the world of comics, such as Pia Guerra and Brian Azzarello, and take in the exhibition honouring cartoonists called 'For the Right to Smile'.
