Anyone who fancies taking a stroll while wearing a hat is invited to do just that during the 10th 'passejada amb barret' (literally 'stroll with a hat'). Any kind of headgear is welcome as you ring in spring properly. Organized by Barcelona milliners Nina Pawlowsky and Cristina de Prada, the event is based on the American concept of a New York City Easter parade, where traditionally a section of the famous Fift Avenue was closed off to traffice on Easter Sunday for people to take a stroll wearing an Easter bonnet. The stroll in Barcelona starts at noon in Rambla de Catalunya (at Diagonal), and will end in Plaça Universitat, with a celebration of the 10th anniversary of the event.
