Time Out says

Chongqing is a remote region of central China crossed by the Yang Tse. And that's where the acrobatic circus with the same name as the capital comes from to visit Barcelona at the underused BTM. The circus is very important in China and there are many schools. In the big Cirque du Soleil shows there are always one or two parts from China. It makes sense then that echoes of the new circus reach the country, and they then come up with a spectacle of sound and light based on a story from their own land, Mulan, but with a traditional and naive character.

The intention is good, and all the artists are endearing, but the show is a blurry photocopy of what it must have set out to be, where the story is reduced to a few small recorded dialogues used as a narrative. It lacks direction and a more communist tone. But there are still the numbers. The best are the rings, the dragon and the man of a thousand masks.
