Two major performing arts companies from Canada have joined forces to create 'Betroffenheit', an innovative hybrid production that erases the boundaries between theatre and dance. The piece examines post-traumatic stress disorder in the mind of a man moving between light and darkness. It speaks of loss, trauma, addiction and recovery through some surprising imagery.

Founded by renowned choreographer Crystal Pite, the Kidd Pivot company maintains a fine balance between maximum precision and irreverence and risk, displaying great dramatic sensitivity and keen wit. The Electric Theatre Company, formed collectively in 1996, creates and adapts theatre plays, placing the emphasis on physical and visual imagery and combining artistic disciplines.
