This is not just any shop. It comes to town thanks to Pilar García, a designer who loves materials printed with retro motifs and specialises in products for kids. So in Mina Mina you'll find bags and backpacks, bibs, pyjamas and bathrobes where lions, horses, aeroplanes and characters from stories all live together. They also stock Bastida clothing (their unisex sweatshirts that you can adapt as babies grow are fantastic) as well as notebooks with covers illustrated by Ana de Lima, which are blank inside so you can write or draw or doodle as you like.
Everything in Mina Mina is done with love and sensitivity. They're big on local production and they listen to their clients who want to use the available materials to cover a chair or order a simple tent. But what really makes the shop special is that they make small gifts that are useful, lovely looking and honest. Plus, they have other purposes as well: you can't imagine the story you can get out of a bathrobe sleeve.
