From the outside, this shop looks as though it could be in New York or Paris. And from the inside as well. That’s the magic of a signature concept store – it symbolises how vast and cosmopolitan the aesthetic imagination of its creator is, who in this case is the Chilean interior designer Jaime Beriestain.
Beriestain set out to create a unique space that would reflect his personality and tastes. What he understands as beautiful, without filters and with honesty. He adores natural flowers, so you'll find red roses, yellow calla lilies, pink tulips... He's also passionate about books, which explains the wall where he exhibits fashion books as if they were works of art. He loves cooking, so there's a gourmet corner that features truffle oil, chocolates, salts, and even capers, which he's always got stocked in his own fridge. And he's always got cloth napkins on his table, which means in his shop you can get household goods as well. You also benefit from his weakness for furniture and vintage decorative or designer objects. He puts his seal of approval on chairs, rugs, towels and candles. Jaime Beriestain is the man, the space and the product.
Strolling through this concept store activates all five senses. You can fall in love with the touch of a cushion or the smell of a soap. And make them yours. You might fall in love with a 19th-century desk or a designer kitchen. And dream about them. Plus, your aesthetic journey ends on a happy note because the store also features a café-restaurant-bar.
