Marc Morro, Clara Quintana and Oriol Villar met in the award-winning ad agency Villar-Rosàs: Morro was an industrial designer, Quintana was an art director, and Villar was a co-founder. But times change, and Rosàs went one way and Villar another. However, the spirit of that project lives on in AOO (also known as Altrescoses, Otrascosas o Otherthings), along with the help of Morro and Quintana. From the lovely shop-studio in Gràcia, they carry on designing things they like, most of them are everyday objects, some made by artisans and others for big brands. The array of products (and prices) is quite wide: matchbooks and Hay tea towels, perpetual calendars from Danese, oil cruets by Marquina, leather-bound notebooks, Falcon dishware, Mallorcan ceramic jugs... AOO has gone the extra mile and also started to design and create their own wooden goods in a workshop in Poblenou. You'll find the sturdy Tripo stool and a small (and useful) cable holder, but also an ingenious set of 'normal boxes'. At AOO they select, adapt and make what they like, and what their customers will like too, such as the Pepitu, a reinterpretation of the classic beach chair.
