In this home-style restaurant that Dakar-born Mamá Diarrá and her family opened in 2017, you can enjoy traditional Senegalese dishes surrounded by portraits of Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King Jr., Miles Davis and Muhammad Ali. The speciality is 'thiep' – rice stews with vegetables and meat or fish. To drink, try 'bissap' (Jamaican flower water), 'bouye' (baobab fruit water) or ginger juice. For dessert, order the 'thiagri' (millet semolina junket).
