This rather unusual restaurant (it’s a shop with the restaurant out back) has become an institution in the district. It’s only open for lunch and it’s always full, so remember to book before you go. The owner is from Tuscany, from Florence to be exact, and that’s a real guarantee of good taste and quality. The daily lunch menu offers a variety of dishes, some so successful that they feature almost every day, by popular demand. In Tuscany there is a dish that is one of the most attractive and least-known in Italy: the ribollita. This is a soup that was created at the time of the Medicis, when the common people used the leftovers after great banquets and turned them into soup by adding cabbage. It’s the most delicious reheated soup in existence. This dish is on the menu every day at l’Angolo dei Sapori. Their shop stocks lots of good Italian products with famous brands.
