The Betawi, an Indonesian restaurant run by Josep Maria and his wife Hera, has long been successful in the city’s Gothic quarter. A few months ago they opened the Gado Gado in Gràcia where, in addition to Indonesian dishes they also serve Thai specialities. If you like spicy, tasty food where the sweet and spicy flavours are in perfect balance, try some typical dishes like the Gado Gado salad or bakmi goreng (sautéed noodles with egg and vegetables). The curries are home-cooked and absolutely delicious.
