Bodega Manolo is also a restaurant; the winery only takes up the entrance. It’s worth being punctual for lunchtime, just so you can try the house vermouth and anchovies. The customers wait patiently beneath the enormous wine barrels with their smell of damp wood. Maybe there’ll be a foie with port afterwards, but who cares about the future when you’ve got a plate of mussels in front of you. Don’t forget that Cal Pep (Verdi, 141) is close by. Who’s coming for lunch?
