Grec 2014: L'eclipsi

One of the few offerings at the Grec this year for fans of classical music is this premiere of a new opera by composer Alberto García Demestres. This is a free version of the work by Paco Zarzoso. Xavier Albertí is the stage manager, García Demestres himself handles the musical direction. Standouts among the singers include Anna Alàs, Antoni Comas, Isabella Gaudi and Maria Hinojosa. The opera tells the story of Leonor and Carla, who decide to marry during a total eclipse. (In Catalan.)
