The classical music concert series named after an Oasis album, '(What's the Story) Morning Glory', is back with daytime performances at Sala Apolo every Sunday for a month at noon, locally known as vermouth hour.
The series aims to programme classical music out of its usual context – that is, in a popular concert hall and electronic music club, in relaxed surroundings, the audience sat on sofas and in armchairs, in small format and for a reduced audience.
On January 22 you can take in a concert by Marco Mezquida, a pianist who plays classical pieces with a different and innovative touch. At just 29 years old, Mezquida has become one of the most sought-after musicians on the jazz scene and in improvised music. Praised by critics and audiences for his versatility and strong musical magnetism, Mezquida is one of the most well-rounded and expressive artists of his generation.
