The group Vigorous, led by the saxophonist Ariel Vigo, appears at the Jamboree with a very clear aim: putting across to the audience a good part of the flood of ideas generated by their musical inspiration. They have a refined sound and natural swing, which they place at the service both of original compositions and personal readings of jazz classics. The trio from Vigo seek the creative freedom to obtain their own bold, magnetic, honest sound, full of energy and guided only by instinct. A mixture of rhythms coexist in their repertoire, ranging from baiao to candombe and including carnavalito, Latin, swing, funk and groove. A vigorous approach, full of character, producing hot, very lively jazz.
