Time Out says

Emerging from the ashes of The Mint Chicks, the Unknown Mortal Orchestra was born as a personal project of Ruban Nielson and has grown into a reliable and radiant cell of experimental pop, home-made psychedelia and lovely lo-fi. All of these characteristics are featured on their eponymous 2011 album, but it was their second album, 'II' (2013), that made this group from New Zealand one of the most interesting and innovative bands of the new psychedelia. Now they're back in Barcelona following their performance at Primavera Sound last spring to present their latest album, 'Multi-Love' (2015), which is charged with funk and full of happiness and catchy rhythms.
