The Skatalites

Few bands make it to celebrate their 55th anniversary of working together. And if they do, not many have made it by putting on around 100 concerts all over the world every year. Add to that those who are known as the founding fathers of a whole genre and there's only one band we can be talking about: The Skatalites. This legendary Jamaican outfit is led by Doreen Shaffer and incredible trombone player Vin Gordon, who performed with Bob Marley for a good part of his career.
