Time Out says

During the '80s English band The Psychedelic Furs were a big part of the pop and melodic new wave scene along with other groups like Simple Minds, though they didn't seem to enjoy as much commercial success. The comparison with Simple Minds doesn't come out of nowhere: both showed up on soundtracks of movies by John Hughes, with The Psychedelic Furs song inspiring the film of the same name, 'Pretty in Pink' (1986), and Simple Minds having a huge hit with 'Don't You (Forget About Me)' from the 1985 film 'The Breakfast Club'. After breaking up in the early '90s, The Psychedelic Furs got back together at the turn of the century and since then they've been touring and revisiting their hits, as they do tonight whey they stop in Barcelona on their 'The Singles Tour'.
