Bob Geldof was the singer and frontman for The Boomtown Rats from 1975 to 1986, and with them had such No 1 singles as 'Rat Trap' (1978) and 'I Don't Like Mondays' (1979), the latter of which launched him into international fame. In 1985 the Irish musician was one of the main promoters and creators of the macro concerts Live Aid, which were held to benefit the fight against famine in Africa. He'll be at the Liceu playing music from his long discography.
