The third and final day of Sónar at Fira de Montjuïc is charged with powerful and eagerly awaited acts: American group Chromatic, featuring the voice of Ruth Radelet and the genius compositions of their leader, Johnny Jewel, will perform captivating songs from their magnificent album 'Kill for Love' (2012), full of electropop, Italo disco and eighties synths; formed by two alumni from Red Bull Music Academy – Hudson Mohawke and Lunice – TNGHT have revolutionised the rave culture; new stars of pop AlunaGeorge, with the charismatic Frances Aluna in charge of vocals and George Reid of production, who, with their perfect combination of pop and R&B, have us looking forward to their first LP, 'Body Music', scheduled for a June release. We'll also be checking out the queen of the British airwaves, Mary Anne Hobbs; this being her sixth Sónar in a row, we know she'll be worth it; and the trio of Darkstar, making their debut appearance at the festival to present their new album on Warp, 'News from Nowhere' (2013).
