The second day of this most eclectic of Primavera Sound festivals once again stars a variety pack of stars like the British trio The xx (featuring Jamie xx), who have seen their fame shoot sky-high recently and who present their third album, 'I See You' (2017); Stephin Merrit and The Magnetic Fields, back this year with the conceptual '50 Song Memoir' (2017), which, as the title indicates, includes 50 songs and is a type of chronicle of the American singer-songwriter's life; the return to live shows by classic soul punk band The Make-Up; the always effective pop that's progressively less lo-fi from Canadian artist Mac DeMarco; experimental electronica from Flying Lotus; the return of indie classics from California Grandaddy, who are finally releasing a new album, 'Last Place' (2017), following their 2012 reunion; hip hop supergroup Run the Jewels, with El-P and Killer Mike; and home-grown bands like Basque rock from Berri Txarrak, It's Not Not, and the meeting-up of Kepa Junkera and Los Hermanos Cubero.
