The first full day of Primavera Sound 2017 at the Parc del Fòrum boasts a line-up of big names, like the return of Justin Vernon and his main project, Bon Iver, presenting deconstructed pop songs from his third album, '22, A Million' (2016); the electronic magic of Aphex Twin, with new material; the new American queen of R&B Solange, who has topped her sister Beyoncé on some lists for the best album of the year, with the wonderful urban beats of her 2016 album, 'Seat at the Table; masters of extreme metal Slayer; the band led by Greg Dulli, The Afghan Whigs, one of the most solid and versatile groups to come out of the '90s in the USA; the elegant soul of Los Angeles–based singer and songwriter Miguel; a key band in the '60s, The Zombies, who will look back at their legendary album 'Odessey & Oracle' to celebrate its 50th anniversary; the intense Death Grips, who bring their latest album, 'Bottomless Pit' (2016) to the festival; the reunion of none other than Canadian band Broken Social Scene; pioneers of punk and fathers of goth rock The Damned; veteran and venerated Elza Soares, the first lady of Brazilian samba; Catalan heroes Mishima, presenting their latest album; and expansive shoegaze from Galician band Triángulo de Amor Bizarro.
