Primeravera Sound’s first big day in the Parc del Fòrum will bring us many highly anticipated performers, like Australian band Tame Impala (8.30pm) and their new take on psychedelic rock, which catapulted their second album, ‘Lonerism’ (2012) onto all of the year’s charts; the return of The Postal Service (10.55pm), duo of Jimmy Tamborello (Dntel) and Ben Gibbard (Death Cab for Cutie), who are celebrating 10 years of their single, celebrated album, ‘Give Up’ (2003); rock legends Dinosaur Jr. (9.45pm), who have caught their second wind after reuniting their original line-up with J Mascis, Lou Barlow and Murph for their album ‘Beyond’ (2007) and will be performing new music from ‘I Bet on Sky’ (2012); Phoenix (1.40am), whose previous album, ‘Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix’ (2009), turned them into the most successful group in France (aside from Daft Punk, of course), and they seem to be continuing on that path with their latest, ‘Bankrupt’ (2013), full of synthesised rock. Let yourself get carried away by festival regulars like the not-so-experimental Grizzly Bear (12.15am), the intriguing sounds of Animal Collective (3.10am) and Canadian ginger Neko Case (7.20pm), who we know from The New Pornographers and is already one of the biggest voices in independent country. As for local groups, we have to mention the omnipresent Manel (8.30pm), whose third album, ‘Atletes baixin de l’escenari’, will make its live debut, and La Brigada (5pm) from Vilanova, the first band you'll see if you head to the Fòrum early.
