Porta Ferrada 2019: New Order

Emerged from the ashes of Joy Division in the early 1980s, New Order, one of the most legendary, iconic and influential bands out of Manchester, managed to fuse the post-punk sound of their first band with the electronic textures of Kraftwerk and the incipient dance scene, to give rise to a unique mix of guitars and synthesizers that marked the evolution of pop to come. Hits like 'Blue Monday', 'Temptation', 'Bizarre Love Triangle' and 'Regret' illustrate their extensive and always interesting timeline, where dance music coexists with indie aesthetics, post-punk rhythms and inspired melodies.
