OBC: Shostakovich's Symphony No 8

The works of Dmitri Shostakovich are played more and more often in orquestral concerts, especially his symphonies. This season, the Barcelona Symphony and Catalonia National Orchestra (OBC) has some of his compositions scheduled on its programme, including this weekend's performance of Symphony No 8. Under direction of Catalan conductor Josep Caballé Domènech, the programme also includes Rachmaninoff's Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, featuring solo pianist John Lill.
