The Minifestival of Independent Music of Barcelona has been going strong since 1995, this year marking the 20th anniversary celebration for advocates of independent music. Headliners are Close Lobsters, a Scottish quintet that played a major part in C86, a musical movement that filled the UK in the mid-’80s with fast guitars and good pop. They’ll be accompanied by the crystalline pop from Cardiff's The School, fronted by singer Liz Hunt; the project of French artist Michel Cloup (Diabologum, Expérience); and the noise pop and guitars of the revived The Manhattan Love Suicides who present their album ‘More Heat! More Panic!’. Local band Vigo Linda Guilala will also take the stage, as well as La Legendaria Familia Stinson from Barcelona and The Double Shame from Girona.
