Mercè 2015: Moussakis

Balkan and Mediterranean sounds live together in the repertoire of this group of musicians who come from various backgrounds and are dedicated to playing music pretty much wherever and whenever. Sounds from Turkey, Greece, Macedonia, Serbia and Montenegro come together with touches of jazz, funk and rock, and the rhythms and harmonies make for joyful popular music. The man behind this sound that evokes tradition is Branislav Grbic, a violinist from Belgrade who's lived in Barcelona since 1991.
