Mas i Mas Festival 2015: Rocío Marquez

The 13th San Miguel Mas i Mas Festival comes to a close with a concert by the 'cantaora' from Huelva and new sensation in the flamenco universe, Rocío Marquez, who has garnered admiration and excitement from the release of her album, 'El niño', a work that's a tribute to the tradition of flamenco song via some of its greatest artists, such as Pepe Marchena, but that at the same time is banking on breaking the rules as far as bringing flamenco up to the 21st century is concerned. The best of this tradition–modernity coupling is seen in the making of the album as much as onstage with the participation of the father of flamenco guitar, Pepe Habichuela, and young collaborators such as Niño de Elche and Raúl Rodríguez. Also appearing as a special guest is Raül 'Refree' Fernández, who coproduced the album with the great Faustino Núñez.
