Mas i Mas Festival 2013: Sun Ra Arkestra

A performance by the Sun Ra Arkestra is always an event that goes far beyond a strictly musical act. The concept was created by Sun Ra in the early 1950s, and Marshall Allen – current director and original member – preserves the original and singular spirit where the language of jazz is expanded like the particles that formed the universe. Science fiction, ancient Egypt and Kabbalistic philosophy come together in an amalgam of sounds that feature in every one of their concerts, giving you a one-of-a-kind experience.
