Dean Wareham (founder of the seminal Galaxie 500) is back with his band Luna to play a repertoire that combines their greatest hits with new works they recorded this year. Theirs is an enveloping rock that, like good New Yorkers, is in the vein of the likes of Lou Reed and Television. Luna started up in 1991 and has enjoyed considerable success (though not quite to the extent that Galaxie 500 did). Their third album, 'Penthouse' (1995), is considered a fundamental work thanks to the perfection of its sound.
