L'Hora del Jazz 2015: Roger Mas Trio + Santiago Acevedo 6tet

The 25th edition of L'Hora del Jazz-Memorial Tete Montoliu gets underway this weekend. The festival is organised by the Association of Jazz Musicians and Modern Music of Catalonia (AMJM), with the goal of showing the diversity on the Catalan jazz scene and that, among other concerts, programmes jazz afternoons on Sundays in September in Gràcia. Kicking things off are the trio led by pianist Roger Mas (noon), who present their album of standards, 'A Time for Love' (2014), and the sextet of Colombian double bassist Santiago Acevedo (1pm), who, with one foot in traditional jazz and the other at the forefront of Afro-Caribbean beats, present 'Raíces' (2015).
