Every Friday and Saturday from June 7 to September 14, La Pedrera (aka Casa Milà) becomes the epicentre of jazz in Barcelona. The rooftop terrace of the Gaudí building on Passeig de Gràcia is transformed into an exceptional stage, where you can enjoy warm summer nights, incredible city views, and the coolest live jazz. La Pedrera Jazz starts with a visit at your own pace to the attic, followed by a drink on the amazing rooftop terrace, where you can appreciate the architecture, the night, the city and the jazz.
This weekend's star is Magalí Datzira, who presents her music with a quintet of young but experienced musicians. Datzira, a bass player and singer from Barcelona, for the first time will perform an original repertoire splashed with funk and a sort of tribute to all her musical influences. Despite her background in the world of jazz – she was a member of the Sant Andreu Jazz Band for many years – Datzira has been influenced by an array of genres, as reflected in her own compositions.
