Czech composer Leóš Janáček became a celebrated name in the world of opera in the 20th century with his later works, among them 'Kátya Kabanová', which you can see at the Gran Teatre del Liceu for the first time in some 15 years. David Alden is the stage director, while Josep Pons is at the helm of musical direction, and the orchestra and chorus are the Liceu's own. Highlighted performers include Patricia Racette, Rosie Aldridge, Nikolai Schukoff, Vladimir Ognovenko and Francisco Vas.
