The third edition of the San Miguel Jamboree Jazz Club Festival puts on a prelude with a musician who's got an exceptional patron in none other than Quincy Jones. Under his tutelage, Jamboree presents for the first time in Barcelona one of the musicians of Jones's choice, American pianist Justin Kauflin. At only 29 years old, Kauflin has earned the admiration and respect of audiences and critics in the jazz world since he was part of the legendary Clark Terry's ensemble in 2004. The fact that he's been blind since age 11 has not been an obstacle for the musical growth of this pianist who's a follower of the Mulgrew Miller school and who has been awarded multpile prizes and distinctions.
