Grec 2015: Jove Big Band

Created in 2012 in the Costa Brava town of Blanes, the Jove Big Band is one of the latest arrivals on the local music scene that clearly demonstrates the regeneration of jazz that Catalonia is enjoying. The group was set up as an official association, with openly declared social, artistic and educational interests all using the language of jazz as the main manner of expression. Kids of all ages embrace the tradition of a musical culture that arrived in Catalonia at the start of the 20th century, and express it through a narrative and musical performance that travels through the history of the genre from its beginnings up to the present day.
